At CorFest, we're dedicated to not only providing a great day out for and in Corsham, but also we want to make a difference. We support local music and local businesses, but also we support these causes:
Our hosts, Corsham Rugby Club, are a hugely important part of Corsham and its surroundings. They support kids and adults through sport and through their community activities and outreach. But like every other organisation, it costs a lot to run year on year.
So part of the CorFest finance goes towards the club to help with running costs and improvements. All the takings from the bars at CorFest goes towards the club, so please drink responsibly, but support the bars while you're at it!
Three of the founders of CorFest met at a circuits class for 'Older blokes', run by local trainer and long time coach at Corsham Rugby Club, Allan Swain.
Very sadly, Allan passed away last year from cancer.
Allan was a great lover of music, watched The Clones many times and came to the first CorFest. He had become a good friend of ours, and we miss him greatly.
So in his memory we have renamed the Main Stage as the Swain Stage and will be making a donation to Dorothy House Hospice Care.
Corsham Churches Foodbank is a non-profit making organisation which relies on food donations to work, filling bags which are then given to those who are referred to the Foodbank. Established in May 2011 it is supported by all the local churches, and run entirely by volunteers.
We have been very pleased to have been able to donate to the Food Bank in previous years and will be donating again this year.
